Answers to the questions we get asked most often about WebViewPDF. If yours is not here, write to us from the contacts page.
You paste a small script with a link to your flipbook into the page — no FTP uploads needed. The reader appears exactly where you placed the code. An iframe and a plain direct link are available too. Everything else is managed from the dashboard, so the code on your site never has to change again.
Yes. Links marked up in the source PDF stay clickable in the interactive flipbook: internal ones jump to another page, external ones open in a new tab. A table of contents is added by hand in the file settings.
Upload a new version of the PDF in the dashboard — the link and the embed code stay the same. Readers see the new version right away and you touch nothing on your website. Earlier versions are kept, so you can roll back.
Yes. One flipbook can be embedded on any number of sites and is still managed from a single place. Statistics are collected for the file as a whole; if you need to tell placements apart, create a personal link for each of them and read the analytics per link.
Yes. The reader searches the whole flipbook, including pages they have not opened yet, and jumps from a result straight to the page with the text highlighted. Matching is literal, partial matches included: “safety jacket” finds “Safety jackets”, and a part number like VT.123.N.04 is matched literally, prefixes included. Works with PDFs that contain text — scanned documents need OCR first.
Yes. The dashboard shows totals for the account and detailed analytics for every file: views, average reading time and which pages were actually opened — drawn as charts over the period you pick.
Every action inside the flipbook: opens, page turns, time spent on each page and clicks on links. On the Business plan and above you also see where readers come from, down to the city, and every personal link keeps its own statistics. Personal data is processed under the GDPR.
No. The player carries no WebViewPDF logo of its own. You can upload your own logo instead — it sits in the corner as a watermark and can link to your site, so the flipbook looks like a part of your website rather than someone else’s widget.
Toolbar and background colors, the logo, page-turn sounds, which controls are visible (fullscreen, zoom, navigation), a borderless mode and a table of contents for jumping between sections. Settings are defined once for the whole workspace and can be overridden for a single flipbook.
Yes. On the Business plan and above, flipbooks and shelves open on your own subdomain — you point a CNAME at us and the links look like part of your website. Business includes up to 10 domains, Team is unlimited. A bare domain without a subdomain (example.com) is not supported.
Starter ($9/month or $90/year) — 10 files, 1 shelf, basic analytics. Business ($19/month or $190/year) — 100 files, up to 10 shelves, advanced analytics with geography, personal links, custom domains and teams of up to 3 people. Team ($49/month or $490/year) — 1000 files, unlimited shelves and members, SLA, API access and ZIP export.
Yes, you can upgrade or downgrade at any time in the dashboard. The remaining balance of the current period is taken into account automatically and the change applies immediately.
Plans are paid by card in the dashboard. For annual plans we can issue an invoice on request — just write to us from the contacts page. Every new account starts with a 14-day trial, no card required.
Files are kept with cloud providers across several availability zones and additionally backed up to an independent storage provider. Personal data is processed under the GDPR.
A single upload can be up to 512 MB, which covers most catalogs, magazines and price lists. On upload the PDF is converted into optimized images so that pages open quickly.
We use a Cloud CDN with 35+ points of presence. Pages are cached and delivered from the location closest to the reader, so even a heavy catalog opens quickly wherever it is read.
